WVU Hospitals is launching the next phase in its new electronic record system

West Virginia University Hospitals will institute a change this weekend that will impact every patient it treats. It is designed to save money and improve your health care.

West Virginia University Hospitals has been working hard for three years to implement this $90 million electronic records system. The first phase went online last year and at 12:01 Saturday morning, it’s time for wave two.

With the new system, patient information is easily accessible, right at the staff’s fingertips. It is a tremendous change from the packed chart room with baskets overflowing with paper files.
